Academic Contests
br>Academic Contests:
Rockway Grades 7 & 8 students write the Gauss Mathematics contest, while Grade 8 students write the Scholastic Achievement contest. Grades 7 & 8 students enter projects in our schoolwide Science Fair, judged by local university science professors. Top projects are chosen to represent the school at the Waterloo Regional Science Fair, where students have garnered numerous awards over the years. All Grades 7-9 students write the Canadian Geographic contest each year.
Rockway high school students enter the Pascal, Euclid, and Fermat Mathematics contests, plus the University of Waterloo Avogadro Chemistry contest, the Sir Issac Newton Physics contest, the Ontario Association of Physics Teachers contest, and the University of Toronto National Biology contest, with excellent results.
