Auction Volunteers
br>Rockway's annual Auction Extravaganza is our major fundraising event of the year. Lots of help and support are needed to help make this a successful and fun evening for all. You can get involved in a number of ways:
- Donate an item - it could be a craft, a talent, an article of clothing, anything that is new (or a bonafide antique). Fill out the "green sheet" donation form from the Business Office for each donation. Donations can be brought to the Business Office window. Read our donation guidelines.
- Solicit an item from a connection you might have that would be willing to support Rockway (relative, friend, company you work for, store that you shop at frequently, companies you have connections with). Read our donation guidelines.
- Donate cash - we use cash to buy items at cost that we know people would like to see in the auction. This helps improve the selection and quality of the auction as well as the amount of dollars raised. All cash donations receive a tax receipt.
- Solicit cash from a connection you might have that would be willing to support Rockway (relative, friend, company you work for, store that you shop at frequently, companies you have connections with etc.) See above for how we use cash donations. All cash donations receive a tax receipt.
- Volunteer to help with the event. We are looking for help with:
- Pre-setup, Thursday, 5:30 - 9 pm
- General Set up:
- Friday: 9 am til noon (lunch provided)
- Friday evening 9:30 pm - 12 pm
- Saturday 9 am - noon (lunch provided)
- Registration setup, Friday, 9 am - 2 pm
- Registration/cash desk during the event, Saturday
- Take down after the event is over, 10 pm - 11:45 pm
- Attend the auction and bring your friends!
