Dates

Rockway accepts international students from Grades 7-12 for full year study or for entry into either first semester or second semester classes. At each grade level students are offered appropriate ESL support, become involved in all aspects of our program and are supported in building connections with students.

Note that the International Student Application Form includes a space where students will indicate for which semester they are applying. Given their English language ability in many cases even though an International student may have graduated high school in their home country it will take a minimum of 3 semesters (18 months) to obtain a suitably proficient level of English and sufficiently high grades to be accepted for university study.

• 2010-2011

• Tuesday September 7, 2010 to Friday June 24, 2011

• Christmas Break:

  December 20, 2010 to December 31, 2010   (Return on January 3, 2011)

• Semester I:

  September 7, 2010 to January 28, 2011
  Students should make arrangements to arrive no later than August 30th to allow time to become comfortable with your new home and to prepare for the new school year.

• Semester II:

  February 1, 2011 to June 24, 2011
  Students should make arrangements to arrive no later than 5 days prior to the start of Semester II to allow time to become comfortable with your new home and to prepare for the new school year.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend both semesters if possible.
