Volunteer Opportunities

• Volunteer Action Centre:
  The Volunteer Action Centre has a listing of over 1 000 positions submitted by members which include over 160 not for profit and charitable organizations and their programs. By answering a few questions you will be presented with a list of volunteer opportunities which reflect your interest and availability.
• YMCA:
  Volunteers make a significant contribution to this organization. The YMCA of Kitchener-Waterloo has approximately 400 volunteers who give over a total of 32 000 hours each year. Without the support of volunteer staff they could not offer the many programs and services they currently provide to their members.
• House of Friendship:
  House of Friendship is a Christian non-profit human service agency that serves 32 500 low-income women men youth and children in Waterloo Region annually through 17 programs. Program areas include addiction services community services family services and residential services. Volunteers are an important part of the work they do.

Volunteers are also an integral part of the Rockway's Annual Auction Extravaganza held every year in the first weekend of November.
